    Paradise Peak

One of the spectacular views on the way to Seward. I love seeing the way the low winter sun illuminates mountain faces while leaving other slopes in the dark.

    Risen Reflections

Another weekend adventure into the heart of Alaska turned up another photographic gem. Several friends and I snowmachined out to Tanada Lake in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park to ice fish and camp. This morning as the sun came up and the fog lifted, with a still winds God revealed this scene. This evening I have scoured several maps looking for the name of the creek in the foreground and the mountain peak in the background but couldn't find any such names. This isn't uncommon for Alaska so with it being Easter morning when I took this photo a more appropriate name came to mind.

    Fall Colors in Alaska

I've been promising to take my wife for a drive to see the fall colors. I'm glad I didn't put it off any longer. The Matanuska Valley was awash with amazingly vivid colors.
